WMU has been busy so far this year, having several mission projects in the works or completed. We contributed to the Ronald McDonald House and Hospice House in Huntington as well as Lily’s Place in Huntington. WMU continues our support of the Napier family in Uganda with monthly contributions.

We also support the Wayne County Gideons and Spring Valley High School teen group. Beginning Mother’s Day through Father’s Day WMU is sponsoring the Baby Bottles of Blessing for a New Beginning Pregnancy Crisis Center and ask the whole church to get involved in this worthwhile project. Since its beginning in 1888, Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) has become the largest Protestant missions organization for women in the world, with a membership of approximately 1 million. WMU’s main purpose is to educate and involve adults, youth, and children in the cause of Christian missions.
